2024 STEAM Career Day Schedule and Event Details
Tuesday, October 22 - Thursday, October 24 | Senior Academy Friday, October 25 | Junior Academy Friday, November 1 | Elementary Academy Although we are excited to have all presenters, we recognize that representation is critical and are seeking to engage diverse presenters that may be underrepresented in their current fields. We believe that an array of diverse experiences and perspectives is a vital step to inspire all of our students of the possibilities that exists for future generations as we look to cultivate a more equitable world. We encourage individuals and organizations to register for both days! This year in advance of the event we will host a Zoom information session about the day of logistics. Please sign-up early to make sure you are included in the information session. This year STEAM Career Day at JA and EA will be virtual and in person. Presenters will have the option to join in person or via Zoom. Each Zoom room or in person session will be staffed by a Drew staff member that will act as the host of the room. Presenters will be asked to speak to 4 different groups of students for approximately 20-25 minutes each until 11AM. At the end of each session there will be a 5 minute break. Sessions will begin promptly at 9 AM. We ask all presenters to be on campus by 8:15 AM to make sure everyone has everything they need and are ready to present by 9 AM. STEAM Career Day at the SA will take place over 3 days during students' advisory block (1:30-2:30 October 22nd-24th). Speakers will join a panel conversation and will talk with the same group of students for 45 minutes. We ask all presenters to be on campus by 1PM. We ask that presenters prepare visuals, videos, demonstrations or hands-on activities for students—the more interactive the presentation, the more attentive students will be!
