DESIGNORAMA 2026 IS ON SATURDAY MARCH 14 2026

DESIGNORAMA is Drew Charter School's annual family-friendly celebration of inventing, making and creating. We bring together makers, crafters, inventors, hackers, scientists and artists for a fair full of fun and inspiration. Entrepreneurial makers of all ages are welcome to become vendors and share what they create with the community. Auto show participants will share how STEAM has shaped what we drive for over a century.

DESIGNORAMA 2020-22 CANCELLED DUE TO COVID

Traditionally, Drew has hosted STEAM Day and DESIGNORAMA in conjunction with one another. Day one (STEAM Day) of the two day festival is specifically for Drew students during school hours. Day two (DESIGNORAMA) of the two day festival has been open for the community to join in our STEAMY fun. Drew hosted STEAM Day virtually for for 2021 and 2022, but the community festival was canceled due to COVID. We look forward to hosting the community for our maker event in the future.

Drew Charter is currently seeking demonstrators, vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and car show participants. Registration is now open for 2020. Plan to present in 2020!

DESIGNORAMA 2019 THEME:
SHELTER

This year's theme will spotlight makers who design and innovate any type of product or service that provides shelter (in the literal and figurative sense of the word). Shelter attractions for every interest are in the works for this year’s event; from fort building in the TinkerYard to Tiny House Tours at the Senior Academy. An Autos Through the Ages car show will also be part of the festivities to demonstrate how vehicles have changed over time to meet the needs of each new generation of drivers.

DESIGNORAMA 2019 will Include the chance for participants to create some awesome architecture in the TinkerYard alongside artist Jeff Mather! Create your own temporary shelter and celebrate community art projects.

Discover how cars have changed over the decades at our first-ever DESIGNORAMA car show. Both classic and modern cars will be on display and prizes will be awarded for the top cars.

3:00-6:00 PM (Elementary Hallways) Check out student work during our Project Based Learning Showcase (see specific locations listed on the chart to the left).
3:00-6:00 PM (Driveway in front of the Elementary Campus) Check out some cool cars at Autos through the Ages
3:00-6:00 PM (The TinkerYard) Experiment with architecture. Build TinkerYard forts.
3:00-6:00 PM (Elementary Makerspace) Build your own lego apartment.
3:00-6:00 PM Check out a demonstration from one of our demonstrators and grab a cool treat or two from some of our vendors
3:00-4:00 PM (Elementary Back Hallway 1st Floor) Digital Storytelling, Green Screen Demonstration, and Video Game Design--Come try it!
3:00-4:00 PM (Elementary Back Hallway RM 129) Chess Fun--Come play and see the giant Chess set our students are designing.
3:00-4:30 PM (Elementary Cafeteria) Play in the Game Showcase hosted by Drew's 2nd Graders
