Official Event of the 2019 Atlanta Science Festival

DESIGNORAMA is Drew Charter School's annual family-friendly celebration of inventing, making and creating. We bring together makers, crafters, inventors, hackers, scientists and artists for a fair full of fun and inspiration.

Drew Charter is currently seeking demonstrators, vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and car show participants. Click the button to the right to officially join us!

DESIGNORAMA 2018 THEME:
CAUSE AND EFFECT

This year's theme will spotlight makers who design and innovate any type of product or service with the effect of their product or service in mind. Cause and effect attractions for every interest are in the works for this year’s event; from community-built sculptures to virtual reality simulators. An Autos Through the Ages car show will also be part of the festivities to demonstrate how vehicles have changed over time to meet the needs of each new generation of drivers.

DESIGNORAMA 2018 will Include the chance for participants to create some tinkering materials for the TinkerYard alongside artists Jeff Mather and Marquetta Johnson! Be a part of our community art project!

Discover how cars have changed over the decades at our first-ever DESIGNORAMA car show. Both classic and modern cars will be on display and prizes will be awarded for the top cars.

What Can You Do at DESIGNORAMA 2018?

3:00-4:30 PM (Elementary Makerspace) Build your own race car for the Nerdy Derby Race
4:30-5:30 PM (Elementary Cafeteria) Check out Drew's Boy Scout Pack Pinewood Derby
3:00-6:00 PM (The TinkerYard) Help tinker-up the Tinker Yard with artists Jeff Mather and Marquetta Johnson.
3:00-6:00 PM (Driveway in front of the Elementary Campus) Check out some cool cars at Autos through the Ages
3:00-4:00 PM (Elementary Media Center) Play in the Game Showcase hosted by Drew's 2nd Graders
5:00-7:00 PM (JA/SA ) Walk through the scenes of a Great Gatsby " Choose-your-own adventure" play; written, directed and performed by Drew's Senior Academy
4:00-5:00 PM (Media Center) Staging the Scene, Forensic Science Workshop
3:00-6:00 PM Check out a demonstration from one of our demonstrators and grab a cool treat or two from some of our vendors
