Drew Charter School's Senior Academy
Earns STEAM Certification
Drew's Senior Academy is now the first high school in the state to be officially certified a STEAM School by the Georgia Department of Education. This important designation was created to recognize institutions committed to providing high-quality educational opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. Drew's Senior Academy received the "whole school" designation which certifies that the entire student population is engaged in STEAM learning and confirms Drew's position as a statewide leader in innovative equity focused education.
The certification was earned following a visit on March 8th, 2022, that included interviews with students, virtual class visits, portfolio reviews, a presentation by the leadership team, as well as interviews with business partners and parents.

Drew's Junior Academy is now the first Title 1 middle school in the state to be officially certified as a STEAM School by the Georgia Department of Education. Special thanks to the students who represented Drew in the interviews with the STEAM Certification Team: Merritt Carlson, Tyler Golubic, Amara Gueye, Charles Fischer, Isabella Franco, Madison Harvey, Niles Holt, Kalani Lanes, Maziah Lanes, Rhyland O'Neill, Adiel Onyeabor and Courtney Smith.
