Second grade tackled Atlanta’s transportation problem and its impact on society, the environment and the economy. They utilized design thinking and problem-solving to develop and prototype alternative modes of transportation. Their ideas included a wind-powered MARTA, a super-bus, and a high-speed train.
Second Grade's Exploration of Transportation
To address common misconceptions about earth’s rotation, the seasons, the phases of the moon and the position of the planets and the sun, second graders designed and built models to teach others the basic truths of astronomy.
